MRZ ("we", "us", "our") operates the MRZ robot portal. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using MRZ you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use this solely to authenticate you and associate your robots with your account.

Robot and control data

We store the robots and controls you create (names, descriptions, command definitions). This data is tied to your account and is not shared with other users.

Usage data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use MRZ. Google Analytics collects information such as:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Approximate geographic location (country/city, derived from IP address)
• Referring website or search term

This data is collected via cookies and sent to Google's servers. It is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual users from it. Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Cookies

MRZ uses the following cookies:

• Authentication cookie — keeps you signed in; expires when you sign out or the session ends
• Anti-forgery token — protects forms from cross-site request forgery; session-scoped
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) — used to distinguish users and throttle requests; persist for up to 2 years

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in.

How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as described in this policy (Google Analytics) or as required by law.

Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may delete your account at any time from the Personal Data page, which will permanently remove your account information and all associated robots and controls.

Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's data retention settings (default: 26 months).

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to opt out of analytics tracking. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of MRZ after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
